JULIETTE was turned in as a stray from AL. She loves to run and play with other dogs her size. She is afraid of larger dogs; given the time and patience she has done well with a monitored introduction. She enjoys her walks in the park and loves it when strangers, including little children, come up to pet her. She doesn’t bark or show any fear when bigger dogs, bikes or roller bladders pass by. She is housebroken to a doggie door and may need a little work on telling you when she has to go outside. She loves to be outside, loves to run and will do best in a secured fenced in yard. Juliette loves to cuddle on your lap, gives lots of kisses and has learned a few commands (sit and down). She is an energetic young girl with lots of loving and companionship to share with her forever home. Please give Juliette the home she deserves and she will be your best friend forever.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about JULIETTE...CA
Good with Dogs
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
