BIO:

Scully is a GREAT dog, he’s friendly, loves to play with other dogs(see picture with him playing with another dog), gets along with males and females and we think he’d be ok with kids too. Scully came from a kill shelter in AR where he would not have stood a chance at finding a home but with the help of an independent rescuer we were contacted and asked to take him. He did have one broken tooth that was broken off at the jaw line but we had it removed with no trouble and now he’s looking for the right home. One that will give him the love he’s looking for. He loves to sit on the couch with you while you “chill” but he’s ready to go out and help you in the yard too, you name it and he’s game.

This boy is not fat at 15lbs, he’s just solid. Would be great with a younger dog, someone for him to play with and hopefully that would include a fenced in yard so he could run and play.

Please consider Scully and thanks for looking…

More about Scully...VA

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
