BEING FOSTERED IN MIDDLE TN......

Natalie came from GA where she was surrendered by her owners, why we are not sure because she is just about the sweetie dog on God's green earth. She is housebroken to a doggie door or if you take her out on a schedule she will do her business outside. She gets along with all the other dogs and would probably be ok with kids 12+. Cats we are not sure about. Natalie will need a fenced in yard, you see Natalie is blind and even though she walks well on a leash we think it's best she has a fenced in yard. She is spayed, UTD on all shots and on heartworm prevention. If you are interested in the sweetest girl in the world then Natalie is the one you want to adopt.
All American Dachshund Rescue would like to thank you for looking at our available dogs. Please know that we will no longer ship our dogs on planes as cargo. In some cases you may have to go to the state the dog is in to pick him/her up or use our recommended paid transports. Whichever way you choose to get your next family member be assured we'll help you as much as we can. Thank you for thinking of rescue.

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
