BIO: My name is Mariah: AADR pulled me from an AC in Piedmont, AL on September 14, 2013. I am a playful and happy little doxie. I play with my foster siblings all the time, especially outside, as we have lots of energy. I like taking lots on the rug or the back of the coach. I like being held and cuddled on my foster moms lap; she says I’m her “little shadow”! All I have to do to keep busy is: play, eat, potty, and snuggle to make me happy. I don’t bark much and have no food or fear aggressions. I am looking for my forever home; a family who will give me lots of love, take me for walks, cuddle and play with me and always keep me safe.
If you have questions about this puppy please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. There will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate, if shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter.
We will not adopt into the state of CT, RI or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have an issue with this you need to take this up with your legislatures.
We are now approved to adopt/foster in the state of NH but adopters will have to pay health certificate fee of 35.00 once to get the dog to our quarantine facility and another 35.00 fee to get the dog out of quarantine after two days.
Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
