BIO:  Are you looking for the sweetest girl this side of heaven? Well you found her right here. She doesn’t care if she can’t see well or if maybe she can’t hear all that you say, all that she cares about is that you love her and take care of her. She will hold her potty habits until you take her outside and if you have a doggie door she’ll find her way back in. She doesn’t like steps but at 10lbs or under she’s easy to put under your arm and carry her outside.

She’s good with other dogs as long as they don’t crowd around her and scare her. She loves a lap to sleep on and a big bed to sleep in all night and stays put till the next morning cuddled up next to you. She loves to burrow under the covers rather she’s on your lap, in a doggie bed or the big bed.

She had a rough first 6 yrs of her life but we’re doing all we can to make sure the rest of her life is much better.

She does have a slight heart murmur(grade 3) that she’s on meds for but it doesn’t bother her or slow her down out in the big fenced in yard.

Please won’t you give her a last forever home?

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.

We have now been approved to adopt and transport into the state of Massachusetts but there are guidelines the organization and adopters must follow. If adopting and before filling out the adoption form please e mail aadrpresident@gmail.com to get the guidelines and expenses that must be followed.

Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

More about PUPPET...TN

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
