This little furball is Hank. He's a whopping 2 pounds of pure puppy love wrapped in a beautiful dappled coat. Hank is a blank slate that will be ready for his new family to teach him how to be a well behaved young gentleman. He will be ready for his new home after his 2nd set of puppy booster at the end of May. AADR rescued Hank from a backyard breeder and we know his parents were about 11-12 pounds, so he should be a similar size when fully grown. Hank is in foster care with one brother and two sisters. Hank is typical puppy--curious and playful, but he lets the girls rule the roost!
Hank is both too small and too young to be neutered, so whomever adopts him must sign a neuter agreement and pay a $75 deposit in addition to his adoption fee. That deposit will be returned when he is neutered. Based on your vet's recommendations, he may have to wait until he's 4-6 months old or a certain weight. If you have any questions or want more pictures, email his foster mom. Get your applications in ASAP--Hank will not last long!
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You can pick up the dog or make arrangements for transport via paid ground transport of via volunteer transport. A $35 fee for a veterinarian-issued health certificate is required for ground transport.
Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
