BIO:

Look at this precious face! How could you resist her!!!! Holly is one of the most well-behaved, cuddly, and friendly little girls you will ever meet. She was found wandering the streets of Tennessee all on her own. Some loving soul picked her up and brought her to AADR to begin the search for her forever home! When they found her she had bladder stones the size of golf balls :O! The vets that work with AADR removed them for her and she has made a full recovery! She is now loving life and ready to meet her new family. She has the perfect personality for almost any kind of family atmosphere. She loves to play when you want her to. She loves to sleep when you want her to. She loves to go on walks when you want her to. She basically just wants to be next to you, doing whatever you are doing at the moment. She is very well trained and listens to most basic commands. She loves her puppy beds and her toys and she even has her favorite blanket that she loves to cuddle with. She adapts to pretty much any new situation or experience she encounters with flying colors. When you hold her in your arms, she looks up at you with her big brown eyes that tell you how much she loves you! This little girl has so much life ahead of her and she is just waiting to begin a new chapter with YOU!

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.

We have now been approved to adopt and transport into the state of Massachusetts but there are guidelines the organization and adopters must follow. If adopting and before filling out the adoption form please e mail aadrpresident@gmail.com to get the guidelines and expenses that must be followed.

Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

More about HOLLY 4...NY

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
