JELLY BEAN came from the breeder/hoarder that Cutie came from. Living in a trailer and never seeing the outside or walking in grass. JellyBean has to be the sweetie and most laid back smooth coat I’ve seen in a long time. To her anything is the world because before now she had NOTHING not a bed, toy or enough food to eat. She loves using the dog door and going outside to roam in the fenced in yard. Is not leash trained so a fenced in yard is really a must. She will lose all her teeth when she has a dental. She has already lost some before coming to rescue but will lose the rest to dental disease but that doesn’t stop her from loving food. We just soften up the hard food and she chows it right down. She would be fine with or without another dog to keep her company. She is really enjoying the couch to sleep on and the ramp that goes up to the couch. We think she would be fine with cats but we are saying no to kids because we feel she needs to enjoy being a pet and not a lot of noise and confusion is what she needs.
Please give JELLY BEAN the home she needs and deserves. We are only guessing at her age of 8 yrs but she could be younger but she’s a happy girl and very friendly to everyone she meets.
If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
