We have Mr. Wiggles on a very strict diet to lose another 4 lbs.

BIO: Mr Wiggles, I call him "Leo:, is happy go lucky boy.  He wants to be in your lap and give you kisses. Has not met a stranger, loves to give kisses and greet everyone.  He also likes to hike. He loves to play with other dogs and investigate. He is simply just a lovable little boy and needs a forever lap to lay on. We would prefer a fenced in yard with another dog for him to play with. 

UPDATE: Now that I've had time to become familiar with "Leo" Wiggles, I can say that he is a real sweetie.  He loves to play with squeaky toys and play ball.  He will play tug with my other dogs. I recommend that he goes to a family that has another dog. He has not bothered the cats. He loves to give kisses. He loves being outside and will run and play and lay in the sun. He will let you know when he wants back in. I will say that anyone would be happy to have this little guy. He will win you over. He very much deserves a forever lap to lay on. 

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
