BIO: This beautiful girl is Hannah, a smooth black and tan who loves everyone she meets! At 18 months old she has a lot of energy and really just wants to be near you no matter where you go. Hannah loves sitting next to you or taking a walk. She has a brother in her foster home and she loves being around him too. She has discovered the fenced backyard at her foster home and realizes what a great place it is to be... she loves it out there!
Our wishes for Hannah include:
A fenced yard attached to your home
Another smaller dog for her to hang with and keep her company if you have to go out. Hannah is VERY high energy!
No apartments or high-rises

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
