BIO: Daisy came into rescue from Georgia as an owner surrender when her family relocated and could not take her with them. She has only been at her foster home for a short time, but here is what we know about her:
She has a sweet, friendly personality.
She loves to curl up on an available lap.
She is very active and curious but also enjoys napping next to her person.
She sleeps all night in her crate (with just a bit of initial fussing).
She gets along well with other dogs, but does want to be the first one when treats are given out. We are working on sitting and waiting.
She loves being outside exploring but checks in frequently. A large fenced yard would be preferable.
Daisy looks adorable and has an adorable personality! If you want a constant companion, she is your girl.
Please consider adding Daisy to your family. This little girl is just full of fun and love!

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
