BEING FOSTERED IN TN
BABES came from KY with Tiny but not the same owner....this one was moving and wouldn't/couldn't take BABES. This girl is so so sweet and she just wants to please and loves to play but will cuddle up to you and loves the big bed to sleep in right next to you. She appears to be housebroken at least to a doggie door so may need more work but is very eager to please so using treats should work wonders. She gets along with all dogs and kids would be great cause she has the personality for them. We think cats would be ok too she'd probably just want to play with them. If you want the sweetest girl on the web as your newest family member you need to fill out the app on her today. This one will not last long as sweet as she is. She does ok in a crate but not her favorite thing to do but with training she should be fine.
Go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an app and be sure to put her name on the app., we'll be in touch.
Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome and a home visit is required. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interested in a rescue.
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
