BIO:
Holly is a tiny little dachshund who loves chasing and playing with small squeaky tennis balls! She adores being cuddled and snuggled up to you for quiet time, and dearly loves soft cuddly blankets. Holly would be very happy in a forever home with a companion male dachshund. She plays well with my two boy dachshunds and they all snuggle together for nap time. Though Holly has never had any training, she will come when called and she is eager to please. I think some formal obedience classes would make her a very happy dog, and make her feel good about herself. She is on the timid side, but with a loving forever home she will overcome that.
If you are interested in this little one, please contact her foster mom, Lynne, at linda.southergill@att.net.

Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults, Timid, Affectionate
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
